This is a presentation by Ed Falis on compiling Ada code for the Java virtual machine. It includes an example, complete with Ada source code, that simulates the engine startup sequence for the Allison T-56 trainer. The similarily of Ada to Java is discussed and the issues associated with writing Ada programs to run on the Java Virtual Machine (as either applications or applets) are presented.
